Mahalasa Medical Technology was started in the year 2001. The vision, mission and progress has completely been in line with the “Make in India” policy of the Govt of India ever since its inception. We are very proud that our mission of saving burden to the exchequer and also providing employment opportunities to our fellow citizens is continuing successfully.
The 3C Neuro Head Frame was the first product developed by MMT which has more than 500 plus installations across the country including premier institutes like AIIMS and most corporate hospitals. The product has received appreciation by top Neurosurgeons across the country. As quality and patient safety has always been top priority of the company we got the product CE certified.
Our team consists of experienced engineers and young minds who can solve any problem with, out of the box solutions. The team has been a strength in designing developing and manufacturing equipment indigenously.
The team is continuously working with Neurosurgeons and developing innovative products that is aiding in cutting down the cost and time of surgery which in turn benefits the patients.
The company has developed and manufactured a wide range of medical equipments which is being used for the surgeries i.e 3C Neuro Head frame, 3DR Stereotaxy, SR Leyla retractors, OT Table accessories and monitor wall mounts.
The products are supplied to Government and Corporate hospital through out the country and are well acknowledged by the Neuro surgeons.
Mr Sadashiva Bhat
MD and Consultant Biomedical Engineer
Mahalasa Medical Technology was started under the leadership of Mr. Sadashiva Bhat with a vision of making best in class medical equipment in the field of Neuro surgery. The promoter Mr. Sadashiva Bhat has an experience of 25 plus years in this field. He has served as a Biomedical engineer in NIMHANS (National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences), Bangalore a Govt. of India institute for about 6 years and as a Chief Biomedical Engineer in Manipal Hospital, Bangalore for a decade. During his tenure he was also involved in procurement of medical equipment. He always contemplated about the huge cost of imported equipments which later became the spark to start this company to develop few equipment indigenously whose quality is on par with and cost is one-third or one-fourth of the international equipment.
Mr. Bhat got an opportunity to serve as a consultant for the prestigious INHS Patanjali (Sea Bird Naval Hospital), Karwar, Karnataka for Medical Equipment planning, procurement and successfully completed the project.
Mr. Sadashiva Bhat is known to me for the last 20 years right from the days he worked as a Biomedical Engineer at NIMHANS, Chief Biomedical Engineer at Manipal hospital and later as an Consultant and as an entrepreneur starting his own firm named Mahalasa Medical Technology. He has developed 2 important products for Neurosurgery, a Neuro Head Frame and a Stereotactic Frame, he also designs, develops and manufactures various accessories being used for the day to day surgeries. I am glad that his hard work is paying dividends. I wish him all the best in all his future endeavors.
I have personally known Mr. Sadashiva Bhat for the last 16 years and his company from its inceptions. Mr. Bhat is extremely industrious, innovative and skillful in his area of expertise-Biomedical Engineering. He has worked in NIMHANS prior to holding the post of Chief Biomedical Engineer of Manipal Hospital, Bangalore for 10 years. He has impressed me with his creativity, imagination and innovativeness. He has started his own company and manufactures various medical and surgical equipment with a focus on Neurosurgery and Cardiac surgery. His products and services have been appreciated by all concerned to the maximum extent and finds favor among most Neurosurgeons.
The manufacture of these products require extreme accuracy and precision. In view of this, a state of the art manufacturing unit with a capacity to completely manufacture all products in house was setup in the year 2014.
